Welcome to the Hall of (One) Armor
This is where I share any and all art of Axol, Tony Stark’s Ablative Armor. If any of these inspire you and you want to share your drawings, sculptures, customs, or Lego mini-figs of this armor, contact me and I’ll most likely put it up! You’ll get full credit and a link to your site if you’d like.
I admit that I gleaned some of this art from various sites around the web and lost track of their origins. If you are the copyright holder and wish to have the images removed (or want me to add credit), contact me and I would be happy to comply.

My (admittedly simple) Ablative Iron Man pumpkin from 2020
I don’t know where the obsession with Iron Man’s Ablative Suit (Model 23, “Axol”) came from, but it’s still fascinating me after all this time. I keep writing blogs about it, updating the site with new information, and checking my rankings to see if I’ve moved up in the world. Every time I flip through the comics I find something new.
There aren’t many sites out there devoted to such a niche comic book “character,” let alone an Iron Man suit, let alone an obscure armor that only showed up in two issues. And yet here we are.
An Iron Man Suit Like No Other
You wouldn’t believe how seldom Axol shows up, even in fan art. People will draw the entire Hall of Armor and often leave him out (most likely because he’s such a conundrum to draw). Some lists out there will just ignore the Ablation Suit completely because they don’t know what to make of it or think that no one would be interested in such a crazy armor. My guess is that they think no one will miss it. That’s fine by me. I’m here to fill in this particular gap in the internet, and while I won’t be doing it for any more armors, I can at least promise you that this is the most exhaustive resource for Axol on the web.
It’s also going to be a repository of art containing this weird suit. When you look up above, you’re seeing nearly every piece of art that’s ever been on the web for this armor, even if it’s just an arm. Trust me, there’s not a lot out there. New stuff doesn’t show up very often. Of course, I’m always adding art that I’ve commissioned. Expect new images and custom action figures in the not-too-distant future.
Beyond Axol
It’s not always going to be about Ablation Armor Iron Man, though. Sure, most of the site will detail how the armor works or the strange things that I’ve done to further my interest in it. We’re going to get into the science behind it, and every so often I’ll throw in a blog about some other aspect of IM or comics that I enjoy.
Hey, it’s my site, I can do what I want! I just hope you enjoy it.
