Another great piece of Ablative Iron Man artwork

Another week come and gone and no Ablative Armor blogs up. Well, that’s about to change with one that I can put up here real quick.

In my constant search for Ablative Iron Man art (whether I have to find it or commission it), I came across this somewhere on the web. It’s actually all over the place and I’d like to find the original artist!

Axol is the one with the red and white stripy shirt, right above the wizard.

Well that’s a lot of armors. It’s a nice image, and while so many artists will just forget about Axol the Ablative, this person seems to have made it to Model 23 and beyond.

So, where is Axol exactly? Keep looking. Keep looking. Click on the images, it will get about 0% larger. Thanks Squarespace!

Where is he?

No, seriously, I still can’t find him.

Okay, three minutes later and I finally found the one I was looking for. Here’s a hint, bottom-left quadrant.

Forget the shirt, he’s the red and gold armor in this pic.

He’s the one flying out of the Model 1’s codpiece.

Model 23, Iron Man’s Pixel Armor.

Three things identify this as the Ablative. First is the helmet; he’s the only Iron Man with a ridge on his head.

“Dude, I’m standing right here…”

“Dude, I’m standing right here…”

Fine, he’s one of the only Iron Man armors with a ridge on his head. We can also identify him by his oversized gauntlets. There are also four circles on his back meant to portray the kiln ports.

If you are the artist of this fantastic piece, please go ahead and contact me. I’d love to have an even higher-resolution copy for my site so that I can enjoy the Ablative Armor in all its glory.
